Wow! I've been wanting to see Eccleston in something else. That revenge movie (the not-Shakespeare one: Marlowe?) was well done but oh so depressing. And I absolutely refused to watch an Americanized Dark is Rising.

omg that Dark is Rising thing is an ABOMINATION. It wasn't even Americanized, it was HOLLYWOODIZEDx10000000000

And I can't lie I sort of lost respect for him when he was doing interviews for Dark is Rising and said he couldn't read the book, got like a paragraph in or something, and I was like "I disown you." But also that prepared me that since no one working on the movie had read the book it was going to suck.

Only I didn't realize it was possible to turn it into a bottomless infinite VACUUM OF SUCK.

Blargh. Sorry, still bitter.

He's a good actor though. I think he'd rock with the Game of Thrones cast anyway... as long as he can read the damn books

Also Mance. He's also not a bad likeness to Amok's Jaqen, although that'd be an interesting (possibly inspired) casting decision.
